问：中美是否正就贸易问题进行正式谈判？进展如何？

Question: Does China and America negotiate about trade issues? How's it going?

答：昨天我已经说过了，中方对话谈判的大门一直是敞开的。事实上，中美之间就有关问题一直保持着沟通。我可以告诉大家，在推动通过对话协商解决有关问题方面，中方展示了充分诚意，开展了大量工作。但对话协商妥善解决问题的最佳机会被美方一再错过。

Answer: I said yesterday that China's negotiated door open at any time. In fact, China and the United States keep communicating about these issues. I can tell you, in order to move forward dealing with issues through dialogue and negotiation, China has shown complete sincerity and done a lot of work. However, the best opportunity to solve the problem was missed by America.

我们希望美方认清形势，保持理性，倾听工商界和普通民众的声音，及早摒弃单边主义、贸易保护主义的做法，通过对话协商的方式同中方解决贸易分歧。

We hope that America can understand the situation, keep rational, listen to industrial and commercial sectors’ and ordinary people's advice, abandon unilateralism and trade protectionism as soon as possible, and solve trade differences with China through dialogue and negotiation.

同时，我们也希望中美双方间的协商应遵循国际法和国际贸易规则，而不是美国的国内立法；要做到相互尊重、平等相待，而不是居高临下、单方胁迫；要体现互谅互让、有取有予的原则，而不是漫天要价、胡搅蛮缠。

At the same time, we also hope that the negotiation between China and America should follow the international law and rules of international trade, rather than the law in America; we should respect each other and treat others equally instead of arrogance and threat, we should show the principle of considerate, rather than ask a lot of money.

问：关于美国公布对华301调查征税产品建议清单，中方有无进一步评论？中方表示将立即将美方有关做法诉诸世贸组织争端解决机制。中方是否已经启动？如果没有，将何时启动？

Ask: Does China has further comments on the list of Section 301 investigation on tax products ? China said it would immediately tell the WTO dispute settlement mechanism about America's behaviors. Has China started? If not, when will it start?

答：美国东部时间4月3日，美方公布对华301调查征税产品建议清单。中国商务部、外交部、中国驻美国大使馆和中国常驻世界贸易组织代表团已分别就此作出了反应。

Answer: on April 3, US Eastern time, the US announced the 301 investigation on tax products for China. Then, the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Embassy in the United States and the permanent Mission of China to the World Trade Organization have responded to this issue.

近一时期，针对美方单边主义和贸易保护主义的错误言行，中方已经多次阐明我们的反对态度和捍卫自身合法权益的坚定决心。我想，该说的都已经说得差不多了，下面就该做了。

In recent times, in terms of the wrong words of US unilateralism and trade protectionism, China has expressed our disapproving attitude and firm determination to protect our legitimate rights. Finally, I think what I want to say is said, next is to take actions.
